In this episode we welcome Nick Harrison - The Professor.  Nick shares about growing up in Northern Louisiana, where he was surrounded by a loving and supportive family.  Houston, Texas also played a positive role in his early years when he would spend time with his father and family there.  His formative years included the typical GenX childhood of being outside until the streetlights came on, Boy Scouts, The National Beta Club, choir and even an early attempt at stand-up comedy.  High school brought Nick an opportunity to be his school’s mascot, which included attending cheerleading camp.  Nick shares how MTV played a pivotal role in his love of music, and how he “has rhythm but can’t dance”.  After graduation, he attended Grambling State University, where he pursued his dream of performing by becoming a theater major.  Post-college, Nick gave back to his theater community at Grambling State by becoming a professor in the theater department.  Seven years later, he shifted to teaching 5th grade, and it was during those years where Nick discovered social media.  In a whirlwind, Nick found his audience, and they found him.  His mixture of authenticity, fun and kindness combined with a vibe that can easily be summed up as happiness, struck a chord with thousands of people.  Before he knew it, he had 1 million followers on TikTok, with Instagram and Facebook to follow.  A call from WWE was a dream come true, and resulted in a stint with WWE in New Orleans.  That was also the week he had his first date with his wife.  An opportunity to be a contestant on a reality show led to spending the day with Jay Leno discussing cars.  The ultimate collaboration with fellow GenX personalities Sherri Dindal - The Real Slim Sherri, Kelly Manno and Jon Wellington - The Dadbod Veteran, resulted in Nick’s current project, The GenX Takeover Tour.  2025 brought comedian/host Justin Rupple and musician Jojo Malagar to the mix, and together they took the show on the road and even a cruise!  2026 already has 26 shows booked!  Along with his co-stars, Nick brings the talent and positivity his fans have loved to the stage, where he can continue to connect with them on an even larger scale.  We absolutely loved our time with Nick and look forward to seeing him again at one of the shows.  Until then, Go Bills!
